BREAKING AI NEWS

OpenAI gets ready to launch GPT-4.1 👀

OpenAI is gearing up to launch GPT-4.1, an enhanced version of its multimodal model, GPT-4o. This update promises improved reasoning capabilities across text, audio, and vision. Alongside GPT-4.1, OpenAI plans to release scaled-down versions called GPT-4.1 mini and nano, catering to devices with lower computational power

Additionally, OpenAI is preparing to introduce new reasoning models, o3 and o4-mini, which are designed to tackle complex problem-solving tasks. These updates are expected as early as next week, although timelines may shift due to infrastructure challenges. OpenAI's CEO, Sam Altman, has hinted at exciting features but also cautioned about potential delays due to high demand and capacity constraints 👀

Canva gets AI image generation, coding, spreadsheets & more 📈

Canva has made a bold move into the coding and spreadsheet space with its latest update, Visual Suite 2.0. This upgrade integrates Canva's design and productivity tools into a unified platform, aiming to streamline workflows for its 230 million users. Here are some highlights 👇️

  • Canva Code: A generative AI coding assistant that enables users to build widgets, websites, and interactive content using simple text prompts—no coding experience required.

  • AI-Powered Tools: The suite includes an AI chatbot for quick access to Canva's tools, along with enhanced photo editing features for tasks like background removal and AI-generated backgrounds.

This update positions Canva as a one-stop solution for both creativity and productivity. Will you be using Canva for coding and other productivity tasks? 🤔

Anthropic launches a $200 per month tier 😳

Anthropic has introduced a new Max Plan subscription tier for its Claude chatbot, targeting heavy users who rely on its generative AI tools. The plan comes in two options: a $100 per month tier offering 5x more usage than the Pro plan, and a $200 per month tier providing 20x more usage 📈

This move is aimed at professionals who use Claude extensively in their workflows and often hit rate limits. Max Plan subscribers also gain priority access to new features and models, making it an attractive option for those deeply integrated with AI tools ⚒️

Anthropic's pricing mirrors OpenAI's $200-per-month ChatGPT Pro tier, signaling fierce competition in the generative AI market 👀
