OpenAI’s Sora LEAKED 👀 

A group of early users, calling themselves “Sora PR Puppets,” leaked OpenAI’s Sora video generator on Hugging Face. 

This group was given early access to Sora, which is a highly anticipated AI video generation model. They shared the tool in protest, claiming that OpenAI was exploiting them for unpaid labor and PR without fair compensation 🤔 

The leak allowed users to generate 10-second videos up to 1080p resolution by typing a short text description. The group used their authentication tokens to create a frontend that enabled public access to Sora’s capabilities.

However, OpenAI quickly revoked access, and the tool was only available for a few hours 🤷 

The protesters argued that OpenAI was pressuring them to promote Sora positively while not adequately compensating them for their contributions.

The leak has sparked discussions about the ethical treatment of early testers and the transparency of AI development processes 😬 

Gemini 🤝 Spotify

Google has started rolling out a new extension for its Gemini AI assistant that integrates Spotify. This feature allows users to control their Spotify music through voice commands after linking their Spotify and Google accounts.

Here are some key features 👇️ 

• Users can ask Gemini to play specific songs, albums, or playlists, and even search for music by artist name or lyrics 🎵 

• The extension is currently available only in English and requires a Spotify Premium subscription to play specific songs 👀 

• The feature is rolling out to compatible Android devices 📱 

• While users can play and search for music, they cannot create playlists or radio stations through Gemini at this time.

Zoom’s MAJOR rebrand ✅ 👀 

Zoom has rebranded itself as “Zoom Communications Inc.,” dropping “Video” from its name to emphasize its new identity as an “AI-first work platform for human connection” 🤔 

This shift highlights Zoom’s focus on integrating AI to enhance productivity and user experience.

New features include Zoom Docs and an upgraded Zoom AI Companion 2.0, which help users summarize meetings and draft emails.

CEO Eric Yuan envisions AI capabilities reducing routine tasks, potentially leading to a four-day workweek. 📆 

Despite video conferencing remaining a core feature, Zoom aims to expand into broader workplace productivity tools, competing with Microsoft and Google.
