Anthropic released Haiku 3.5 🤖 

Anthropic has recently released its latest AI model, Claude Haiku 3.5, which brings several improvements and changes. Here are the key details 👇️ 

• Claude Haiku 3.5 offers better performance in tool use, reasoning, and coding compared to its predecessor. It surpasses the previous top model, Claude 3 Opus, on key benchmarks 📈 
  

• The new model comes with a significant price increase. The cost has risen to $1 per million input tokens and $5 per million output tokens, compared to $0.25 and $1.25 for Claude 3 Haiku 😬 

Claude Haiku 3.5 is now available via Anthropic’s API, Amazon Bedrock, and Google Cloud’s Vertex AI ✅ 

It will also be available to free-tier user in the coming months 📆 

AI 🤝 Prime Video

Amazon has recently launched a new feature called X-Ray Recaps on Prime Video, powered by generative AI 🤖 

X-Ray Recaps provides personalized, spoiler-free summaries of entire seasons, single episodes, and even specific scenes. This allows viewers to quickly catch up on what they've missed without encountering unwanted spoilers ✅ 

To access X-Ray Recaps, users can visit the detail page of a TV show and select from options like recap the current episode, summarize the entire season so far, or review the previous season ✨ 

Currently, X-Ray Recaps is in beta and available to Fire TV users in the U.S. It will be rolled out to additional devices by the end of the year 🎬️ 

This will improve the viewing experience by making it easier for users to stay up-to-date with their favourite shows without missing a beat.

A major employee shift from Meta to OpenAI 💻️ 

Caitlin Kalinowski, the former hardware lead for Meta’s Orion AR project, has joined OpenAI to spearhead its robotics and consumer hardware initiatives 📈 

In her new role, she aims to focus on integrating AI into the physical world, which could lead to exciting developments in robotics and possibly new consumer devices 🤔 

Kalinowski has a strong background in hardware, having previously worked on Meta’s AR glasses and VR products, as well as at Apple, where she contributed to the MacBook line 🤯

Upgrade ChatGPT from iPhone settings 🤔 

With the upcoming iOS 18.2 update, expected to roll out in December, users will have the option to upgrade to ChatGPT Plus directly within the Settings app.

It’s likely that Apple will take a commission on these subscriptions, which is a common practice for in-app purchases ✅ 

This move could significantly boost OpenAI’s user base while providing Apple users with enhanced AI capabilities!
